3 Easy Cleaning Hacks

Getting the itch to do a little spring cleaning around your house? We came across 3 easy cleaning hacks and decided to put them to the test. Take a look and let us know what tips and tricks you might have when it comes to household cleaning tasks!

Hack Number One:

We all have pots/pans that have have some set-in stains on the bottom and sides. To get them sparkling again, a cleaning hack suggested putting a generous amount of baking soda on the bottom of the pot/pan and then scrubbing with a half of a fresh lemon.

As you can see from our test, it does work and removed much of the grime from the pan but it did not remove all of it as was promoted in the article we read. That said, it is a quick and easy cleaning hack if you want to add a little shine back to your pots/pans (if you care ;)!

Hack Number Two:

Dust on your lampshades? This cleaning hack will shock you with how much dust you might actually remove...at least it did for us! You simply take a lint roller and run it over the lampshade.

It lifts and removes the dust so easily, unlike a dust rag that basically just moves the dust around or leaves pieces of the rag on the shade. Just be prepared to use several layers of the dust roller and go over the shade a couple of times to get it really clean. This is quick, easy and a real winner!

Hack Number Three:

Have you looked up at your ceiling fan lately? We did and oh my!! The dust can really build up on those blades over time. This was such an easy and mess-free cleaning hack.

Simply get a step ladder out so you can reach the blades and then take an old pillowcase that you can open up to encase the blade. Hold the edge of the pillowcase and wipe the blade clean. The dirt and dust falls right into the pillowcase instead of onto your furniture or floors (which then would require more cleaning - yuck). We loved this one!
