The holidays are the perfect time to invite friends and family into your home! Why not try out a new cocktail recipe to add a special touch to the evening? Below we offer up three easy holiday cocktails that will add a touch of flair without a lot of work. It does not have to be fancy to be fun - simply add some cheese and crackers (don't forget an icebreaker game :), and voilà, instant party!


Here are three festive and impressive holiday cocktails that are sure to delight your guests:


Cranberry Orange Sparkler:

Cranberry Orange Sparkler

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz vodka

1 oz cranberry juice

1/2 oz fresh orange juice

1/2 oz triple sec

Sparkling water

Cranberries and orange slices or a sprig of rosemary for garnish


Instructions:

  • In a shaker, combine vodka, cranberry juice, triple sec, and fresh orange juice with ice.

  • Shake well and strain the mixture into a chilled glass.

  • Top with sparkling water for a festive fizz.

  • Garnish with a skewer of cranberries and a slice of orange.


Peppermint White Russian:

Peppermint White Russian

Ingredients: 2 oz vodka

1 oz coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa)

1 oz peppermint schnapps

2 oz half-and-half

Crushed candy canes for rimming (optional)


Instructions:

  • Rim the glass with crushed candy canes.

  • Fill the glass with ice.

  • In a shaker, combine vodka, coffee liqueur, peppermint schnapps, and half-and-half.

  • Shake well and strain the mixture into the prepared glass.


Spiced Apple Bourbon Fizz:

Spiced Apple Bourbon Fizz

Ingredients: 2 oz bourbon

1 oz spiced apple cider

1/2 oz honey syrup (1:1 ratio of honey and water)

1/2 oz fresh lemon juice

Club soda

Apple slices and cinnamon stick for garnish


Instructions:

  • In a shaker, combine bourbon, spiced apple cider, honey syrup, and fresh lemon juice with ice.

  • Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice.

  • Top with club soda for a fizzy finish.

  • Garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick.
