Hive Hunt: Try On Trials

Heard of Temu? We have been seeing it all over social media and we thought it was time to check it out and order a few things for our Hive Hunt: Try On Trials. We have to be honest, we were not sure about this experiment when we ordered, we were pleasantly surprised once we tried the items on. We really liked most of what we ordered and you simply cannot beat the price!

To take a look at our Try On Trials, go to our Facebook or Instagram pages (@thehivewomen). Tiffany, Trish and Marty all tried on several tops and a couple of dresses with our feedback on each of the outfits. It is a quick, less than seven minute video!

First thing to note: the comments are accurate when it comes to sizing. For the most part, order the size that you typically order. We were nervous and ordered up a size in most of the items. After the Try On, we concluded that we would have been just fine (even better off in many cases) with staying true to size.

Our conclusion: It was fun to try something completely new to us! Be sure to try on the items, sometimes when we took them out of the bag, we were skeptical about the look/feel until we tried them on. All of the items are quite affordable so it might be the perfect way to add a few new items to your wardrobe without breaking the bank!

Solid Linen Button Down Shirt

This casual long sleeve shirt is made with a sheer linen making it perfect for summer or early fall. Has a nice little detail in the back as well. Offered in several different color options.

Sizing from Marty: I usually order an XL but ordered a XXL in this blouse. I actually wanted it a little oversized to wear over a dress or light top in cooler weather so depending on your wants/needs, you may wish to size up on this one!

Paisley Print V-Neck

This festive blouse can be dressed up with some summer slacks or is terrific with a pair of jean shorts. You are set for any occasion! The rayon blend is cool and can easily be thrown into a suitcase for those last minute road trips.

Sizing from Tiffany: I usually wear a small or a medium. I did order this blouse in a medium and I like it. I could have probably worn a small, however, either size will work if you are on the fence.

Striped Print Short Sleeve

This casual split crew neck blouse will take you from the office to happy hour to date night. It has flattering lines and just enough sleeve to have some arm coverage but stay cool. Add a light sweater or jacket to extend this look into fall!

Sizing from Marty: I did order a XXL in this blouse but could have easily worn an XL. This top is so comfortable and has plenty of room even if you like things on the looser side.

Swiss Dot V-Neck

This top is just pretty. The dots on the fabric are slightly raised giving it a soft textured look. A ruffle sleeve adds a touch of feminine style and we loved the emerald green color but there are several other color choices if you would like.

Sizing from Trish: I typically wear a large or XL in most tops. We decided to order this particular blouse in an XL and it was a great fit on me so I would recommend ordering your true size.

Lace Stitching Short Sleeve

The rayon fabric is lightweight and wrinkle resistant making it a win for easy care and travel. The sleeve is a bit longer with a cuff of the lace around the edge giving you arm coverage to just above your elbow. The black/cream combo give you options for dressing up or for throwing on your favorite jeans!

Sizing from Trish: I did order an XXL in this top. I think I could have easily sized down to an XL, however, a simple tuck of the blouse just the trick!

Retro Print Boho Dress

This is a deep v-neck dress with tassels is a terrific casual dress for summer! The fabric is very lightweight making it a great "throw it on and go" dress option for the beach, the pool or out to a casual dinner with friends. Perfect with a flip flop or a wedge depending on the occasion. This one is so darn cute!

Sizing from Tiffany: I did order a medium which I usually do order in dresses. I could have sized down to a small on this dress as there was plenty of room to do so.
